K1 Pro Sensor Backpack & Digital Twin
At riskBuild an exact, progressively validated K1 Pro digital twin and a camera-first sensor backpack, using one ROS 2 interface across live robot, rosbag replay, and Isaac Sim.
Current state
Execution package is prepared. The untouched Booster K1 simulation, ROS runtime exchange, real firmware mapping and physical tests have not yet been verified.

Top 3 next actions
- 1.Install/freeze Ubuntu 22.04, ROS 2 Humble, Isaac Sim 5.0 and Isaac Lab 2.2 on the NVIDIA workstation.
- 2.Clone Booster assets/training/SDK sources and run the untouched K1 baseline (EXP-001).
- 3.Confirm shipping K1 Pro ROS topics, QoS, frames, command path, payload limits and E-stop behavior with Booster.
- 4.Decide the feedback camera for the head-orientation loop: native moving head camera if accessible, otherwise a head-mounted OAK after mass/cable clearance checks.
- 5.Bench Jetson + OAK and publish the canonical camera topics before adding other sensors.
Latest update
Execution package prepared and starter repo structurally validated. No physical or simulation baseline yet.

Blockers (4)
- Booster shipping firmware topic names, rates, QoS and command interface unverified
- Payload and centre-of-mass envelope for production K1 Pro not confirmed
- Head camera access / moving-camera choice unresolved
- Final wearable power architecture unresolved (must avoid AC inverter)
Decisions needed (2)
- Feedback camera for head-orientation loop
- Approve camera-first Phase 1 scope

Digital K1 works
Acceptance: Reproducible supplied K1 task or motion on a frozen stack: official K1 loads and runs successfully in Isaac Sim.
